One of these days I will begin posting more often than once a month. But for now I will update you on the ventures I have taken on since my last post. As I mentioned before I am going with Never Alone to Brazil. As each day passes I am getting more I get more and more excited! Most of my funds have been raised so my recent concerns have been, what to pack, and how much spending money to bring!
I am please to say that since my last post I would be able to describe my life as stress-free. Never before have I been able to say that. The investment I had been hoping and praying for has yet to come through, but God has been ever so faithful in providing more than enough jobs and exciting opportunities for me.
For so long most of my jobs have been a means to an end. Just a way to pay the bills, and buy time til I can do something I really love. While I haven't reached my goal of opening the antique shop of my dreams, I have found a job that I absolutely love doing. I started selling Mary Kay. Now before you check out of this conversation, let me tell you it is not the same Mary Kay you grew up with. Well, it is in the way of how they treat their clients, and consultants. But the products we sell, and the parties we throw are so amazing, I still have a hard time believing I get paid to do this. I have yet to try one of their products that I don't love, and then to plan parties with the most amazing ladies in my life and make them feel beautiful... well its a dream job. They don't expect me to be a pushy car salesman, because honestly the product sells itself. But no time for a sales pitch on here. Lets just say I love it! I have never been so excited to do well at a job! The rewards and recognition I get for doing the steps to a successful start are unbelievable! They truly want me to succeed! Some of you may laugh at me for saying this, but I consider this to be another adventure in a chain of many more to come!
Add that to the list of side jobs God has provided for me, Scorely promotions, dealing blackjack, housitting, and babysitting, and you see how busy I have been! But I have loved every second of it! Looking ahead at the next couple of weeks my schedule includes housesitting at my favorite family's house, Mary Kay parties with some of my closest friends, a St. Patricks day Scorely event that has all the guys shaving their heads for a good cause, and a couple of casino events. How could I ever get bored with my life?
One of my goals in life is to meet a new person every week, and to spend some extra time with a different person in my life every week. All of my jobs help me towards these two personal goals. I love that! What are some of your personal goals in life, and how can you use your job to help you accomplish them? It helps when your job helps you with personal growth as well as paying the bills.
That's about all I have for you today. I will keep you updated with my Brazil trip and you can bet I will be posting pictures of that beautiful country when I return... personal goal of the trip? Finding a Brazilian husband. HA!
